Torque Limiters
Internal ECU/TCU software caps that prevent the engine from producing more torque than the transmission can safely handle.
Why it matters
Common on ZF8-equipped cars. If torque limiters are active, you are losing power even though the engine could produce more.
What to look for
Torque actual capping below torque request at a consistent value. Often requires a TCU tune to raise the limit.
