Intercooler Efficiency
How effectively the intercooler cools compressed air. 100% = ambient temp, 0% = no cooling.
Why it matters
A degraded intercooler lets hot air into the engine, reducing power and increasing knock risk. Upgrading the intercooler is one of the most impactful mods for heat management.
What to look for
Efficiency above 70% is good. Below 50% under sustained use indicates the intercooler is overwhelmed or undersized.
